Well... I have used a 3003 as my main camera for more than fifteen
years, both at home and when travelling. Over the years, it had to have
several service appointments, from small annoyances like sticky
exposure buttons to repeated transport malfunction. But I never had any
issue with the battery contacts of either the camera, or the three or
four battery sets.
Doesn't mean what you experienced doesn't happen - 135 film Rolleis can
be flaky. But - 'notorious'?
