Subject: [rollei_list] Rollei B35 film counter

My B35's film counter is not working. It will not advance to 1 with a fresh roll of film. Just keeps bobbing around 36. Am I over looking something or
is it just broken. I assume Harry can fix?

Rob

I don't know the B35 but suspect this is just dirt or gummy lubricant. I've had the counter in a Rolleicord freeze up because it was dirty. A few drops of Naptha in the right place fixed it. A lot of older type lubricants become gummy or hard with time or collect fine dirt which has the same effect. Modern silicone based lubricants are supposed to be longer lived as far as oxidation but probably collect dirt in the same way.
