I would have to take the hood off my pre-war model to look at
it again because I don't know how its fastened. But it sounds
like something that could be cut from spring material and even
cemented into place. I certainly would not discard an entire
camera because of one small part. Someone else may have a better
idea.

repairable?, or, does that pretty much consign that particular camera to the
