be removed
before anodizing. Non-aluminium metals have a habit of disappearing when
placed in an anodizing bath and the current turned on..
Just polish the lever with Simichrome and live with it..

If you can find a good shop they can mask off the parts mentioned
above and anodize the rest of it. Used to have that done a lot in
the olden aerospace days.
