Looks like standard portrait/wedding equipment.
A cheesy photographer gets a cheesy request from a cheesy customer,
asking them if they could have themselves in a set of cheesy poses
all on the same photo. The cheesemaker, to save film and darkroom
time, would then do a number of exposures on the same frame by using
a blocking card in front of the cheese making device. It can be done
in a studio and even outside by an itinerant cheesemaker, such as on
the streets of downtown Tijuana, or at the rose garden in Exposition
Park in Los Angeles.
