Is that just an economic means of thinning the crowd, kind of like a guild membership, or is there a valid technical reason. Photojournalism photography is not the most demanding in terms of image size - especially now, as most images remain electronic - it's why 35mm did the trick for so long. I would think any PJ would want a quick, light, discrete camera. So far only the 4/3s system offers that. Maybe the M9 as well, for 10 times the cost, just to get a body.
A lot of news stories are covered with iPhones these days.Travel photographers have adopted the 4/3s system. Maybe others will follow.
