[rollei_list] OT: Robot IIa

I picked up a Robot IIa with coated Schneider Xenon 1.9/40mm. The first time I ever came close to one of these tiny (but heavy!) spring- wound cameras. Everything is different on this camera. Rotary shutter. Unique 90 degree switchable viewfinder. 24x24mm square frame size.

First I though it wasn't working but then I moved the little slider from "R" to the left and voila the rotary shutter seems to work at all speeds (1/2-1/500 and B. It's almost as small as a Rollei 35. No collapsibe lens, of course, but the lens is removable!

Now my questions:
1. The IIa seems to take regular 35mm on the left side and the film threads into a partially shielded fixed Robot spool on the right, but how do you rewind the film? Can the sping-winder be switched to move the film backwards?

2. Anyone know where I can find a PDF of the manual of the Robot IIa? (I did check most of the usual web suspects)

3. Is there anyone in the US who will reliably CLA these things? This one could use some TLC. Some rust in places, including probably under the leatherette.

Sorry, for the minimal Rollei content but this IS a cute camera. Definitely a classic fim camera that deserves the label "photographic notebook."
