Given the Soviet QC (or lack of) you are far better off with another TLR.
The Cooke Triplet is a hard lens to manufacture. The spacings of the
elements have to be correct. I wondered if mine was a rogue with a badly
assembled lens or such inattention was a common occurence. They Lubitel was
not intended as a serious camera, more as a once inexpensive way of trying
medium format.Aa 120 roll equivalent of a Smena 35mm compact perhaps.
How many of you noticed similar problems with the lens?
I was tempted to sample another, but I guess I can save a bunch of cash
enquiring here.
