[rollei_list] OT: 35mm zoom photography

Zoom lenses quality for still photography is continously improving
from about 35 years ago, multilayer lens coating, new glasses,
floating and aspherical elements are making possible today that some
high quality zoom lenses for film and digital cameras show a similar
performance regarding prime lenses for every focal length.
The following two photographs were taken from the exact same point
with a 28mm>80mm macro manual zoom designed about 23 years ago, it has
a very good to excellent performance for 28mm to 50mm and an
acceptable performance for 70 and 80mm; the photographs were taken a
cloudy day, the light was dull:
