Subject: [rodgersorgan] organ horror stories

Many years ago, I was to play for a wedding....no problem really except that
I had decided to try making a southwestern dish that required one to roast
some Jalepeno peppers and peel and dice them into this creation. No one had
told me that I should use gloves to perform this operation! My hands became
like FIRE and very painful! (now that I live in the southwest, I know
better) The only way that I could handle the situation was to keep my hands
submerged in ice water. My husband drove the car while I sat with my hands
"frozen" in the ice cubes. I played the opening, including the Processional
and then quickly submerged my hands again.....finally after a few hours, I
could feel the "heat" leaving. Never again will I try that stunt!!!
