the "flute keyer" is the 12 note extension for the pedals.
the "dual principal keyer" is for the 4' principal on the great and swell
the "pulse board" is for the festival trumpet and oboe. the adjustments on this
board interact and vary with the position of the expression pedal.
the "puff" and "chiff" are 2 different things and are adjusted differently..
toward the bottom of the is R705 - this is the master level for the "air sounds"
output channel 4 is for the pedal. R867 (about 1/2 way down the board and to
the left of the trem controls) don't confuse this with the "expression" channel
4-which is the oboe level.
the speaker wire connections are "lever" type. Pull up on one side of the
little lever up and it should release the wire.
there are 7 "factory bias adjustment" pots. DO NOT adjust these.
I wouldn't try to adjust the tuning. they seldom get far enough out of tune to
warrant adjustment.

If I remember correctly the keyer adjustments correlate to the attacks. Again
this would all be explained in the service manual package.
There may be a few people here with technical background which can explain
further about this older technology.
To my ear there is a special place for the way which these rich analog
instruments sound.
I have access to the documentation in digital format, if you would like it
emailed to you, please let me know. But also know that if this really puts
you in over your head, that you should find someone who is familiar with the
technology to either set it up, repair, voice and tune the instrument for you.

Hello everyone...
So, this question may be easier to answer.
In looking inside, I see the various boards, and I think I understand what each
one does:
Great - Principal Keyer
Great - Flute Keyer
Swell - Principal Keyer
Swell - Flute Keyer
Reed Keyer
Harpischord Keyer
Harp/Carillon Keyer
Pre-Amp
So, the other boards are a bit more of a mystery:
There's a pair of small boards, each with 12 little blue dials. It says Flute
Keyer on it. Is that for the Pedal?
Another large one says "Dual-Principal Keyer". What does that do? (I'm not
going to monkey with it, but I'd like to know.)
One more says "Pulse", and I'm guessing that has to do with tone generation.
Again, there are dials (Pots?) all over that, but I am not messing with it.
The reason I'm asking is the room the organ is in now is my basement, much
smaller than the church it came from. I don't want to blow the ceiling tiles
out when we finally hook it up to speakers. I understand how to turn down the
Flute Keyer and Principal Keyer on the Great and Swell, but what about the
others stops? (Example: The Nachthorn 4' on the Swell is not affected by the
Flute Keyer for the Swell.)
Nothing is marked "Pedal" as far as the boards, as the Great and Swell are
clearly indicated. The 8' flute comes from the Great. So I know that's
affected by that stop. However, the 32' Bourdon and the Subbass in the first
and second octaves (the first only for the Subbass) are much softer. Can I
bring up those two stops without affecting the 8' Bourdon in the Great?
Lastly - is there a way to turn down/off Air Puff? In the headphones, it
sounds like static. I won't want to change that until I hear how it sounds
with the speakers.
Hope I'm not bugging you all too much - being new here, I don't want to be a
pest. I'm just excited about having the organ in my home and want to get it up
and running! :)
