This was posted to an internal dealer message group last evening.
“Factory tours are available when accompanied and authorized by a certified
Rodgers dealer. For further information please contact your local certified
Rodgers dealer or visit www.rodgersinstruments.com/dealers “
There are some good reasons why tours are limited at this time. They have to do
with staffing, the introduction of new product, and ongoing research and
development. There may be some who disagree with this policy, but it is the
policy in place now. I had a tour at the dealer meeting a few weeks ago, and
every one was quite nice, and helpful, but it was apparent that being in their
space meant that we were slowing the work down. I fully understand that when I
make comments, I tend to step in the doggy doo. But as a dealer, while I
appreciate the public interest in how things are built, I also appreciate
allowing the employees the space to do their work so I may get my product
sooner. The production area is very efficient, but not as spacious as what was
available before. I am sure that as things move forward reasonable effort will
be made to accommodate guests.

All I’m saying is get the facts. There is so much distrust in the world right
now that we need to do all we can to help promote peace, unity and
understanding. As I posted John had NO clue that this was happening and he is
the president. So hopefully this will be something that can be corrected. So
many times on so many different sites I see people jumping to conclusions,
getting folks fired up and it just isn’t necessary. We need unity, not
division. Sorry if I ruffled your feathers. Did not mean to.

You really know how to make people feel good about themselves.
Making false accusations. Gossip is the devils’ work

So stop jumping to conclusions! Making false accusations. Gosip is the
devils’ work. When you have a problem go directly to the source and find out.
You may be surprised at the results!

Sad commentary on the state of affairs. Over a period of 50 years I have always
been welcome to visit organ factories..

Two long-time members, each traveling to the Portland area for other reasons
(one’s on a plane right now) have contacted them and been disappointed to
discover that they are no longer welcome to visit the factory.
No visitors.
