Hi Al, Before you get too far down the road with the Carillon project, check out http://www.inspiredcode.net/ for a product called ChurchBells, very simple, very affordable and worth at least a "look see". Support is also top notch. Do there happen to be any former Moller builders/technicians in the group? I would be glad to hear from you as I have a short list of minor issues that i need to try to temporarily fix on our tubular pneumatic organ. The original intent was to tear the instrument down and refurbish it over the summer but that is going to wait until next year. Of the only repair people in our area, one is extremely expensive and suggests the instrument is ready for the scrap heap or spend $20,000.00 to repair. And the other, well, lets just say that they have worked on the instrument before and botched it up a bit with sloppy quick fixes. I spent 2 solid weekends last year fixing swell to great couplers and ciphers so i was at least able to get t he swell to be used, (the great div. was the only useable division at that time). My intent is of course to completely refurbish the original instrument. The console is in bad shape, Ivory falling off all over the place making it difficult to play, etc. This is a very small congregation so big money projects are out of the question. As a matter of fact, I'd be surprised if the leather costs would be covered when i get to that point. I was told $500.00 was approved so you see I would rather keep the original instrument in tact so i am stuck with repairing what is there. As it is I will need some of that money to replace quite a few trebles that i was not surprised to find flattened by someones big feet. My questions mainly revolve around the console action as the chests all seem solid at this point and very responsive, so if someone can give me a shout, I'd love to ask a few questions and explain my symptoms.
