 From Jim Hockin's HOT TIPS...

A few phone calls this week have lead me to remind all of you with PR300's that
if you have important things saved on a floppy disk, do not assume that disk
will remain fool proof forever. If you have not ever made a backup copy BE SURE
TO MAKE ONE AS SOON AS YOU CAN. There is nothing more frustrating than losing
your saved songs.

Open the top lid on the PR300, hold SHIFT with your left hand and while holdinh
SHIFT press the DISK button on the upper right. (Remember the functions in blue
are accessed while holding down the SHIFT button - the functions in white are
accessed by simply pressing that button without holding down the SHIFT button.)

Turn the Alpha Dial to ALL SONG COPY and press ENTER. It will prompt you ti
INSERT SOURCE DISK (the disk with all the good stuff on it.)

Insert that disk and press ENTER. After a bit it will say INSERT DEST DISK
(Destination Disk.) Eject the source disk and insert a new formatted floppy
disk, then press ENTER. It will spin and the light will flicker, etc. If it
copied everything the NEW SONG screen will appear and you now will have 2
copies
of the source disk. If it needs to access the source disk again because its
little computer brain did not get all of it on the first pass it will say
INSERT
SOURCE DISK again. Do that and press ENTER just as above. Then it will ask for
the destination disk as above. Press ENTER. It may ask for the disk up to 3-4
times if you have a lot on the disk.

One note : start this whole procedure without a disk in the PR300. That way
it
will tell you what you need to do. Also if you need to format a disk before you
start this, do the same SHIFT-DISK key presses as above and turn the Alpha dial
to DISK FORMAT. Press ENTER and it will prompt you to INSERT DISK.

Copy this e-mail and tuck it in the organ bench. It may save your hard work
someday if the disk with all the good stuff ever gets misplace, stepped on, etc.

Good Luck!

Jim:)

Jim runs this excellent email service for his Rodger's clients and I anm sure
it
is greatly appreciated!
