I agree Sean.

I also think that the website should be used to support that, so you have your
demo or tutorial at the meeting, but then also have the tutorial available
online for members so people can come back to the info shown.

Although I haven't renued my membership, maybe more hands on demos and group
learning sessions, outings are good but people like to learn rather than just
take photos too.

Macro demos? Flash tutes?

How to optimize the use of particular lenses and focal lengths?

In all seriousness though, I think the convention has overshadowed things a bit
of late. Personally, since the convention I’ve been more inspired to get out
and shoot than ever. Pete, Suz and myself usually are out shooting somewhere
most weekends now, where before I’d be lucky to pick up the camera once a week,
now if I don’t pick it up every day, something is up.

Like Wayne, I thought the last meeting was quite eventful, there was certainly
lots of discussion, and I think there’ll probably be some changes to
competition as a result.

People don’t know how to keep in contact with each other, barring at the
monthly meetings, so maybe a push is needed to let people know that there is

A facebook group ß although Facebook is in fact Satan incarnate.

A flickr group

An email list

And if I have my way J a website forum.

Try and get a bit of interaction going on.

Good day all

The photo club seems to have lost a bit of spark lately, anyone want to hazard
a guess why?
