I did my l3 recently so the paranoia and excitement is still fresh. Below
are the big things that helped keep me on task.
Ground test ejection charges with shear pins once the rocket is ready
Use a checklist. Follow your checklist. Print multiple copies and hide them
like Easter eggs in your vehicle
Do a mock launch prep and walk through every step (i used a fake motor and
ejection charges). The mock launch helped me catch a few issues in my
preparations.
Get lots of rest before your launch. Get a good meal on the day of.
Get pleanty of pictures and video!
Mourn for your wallet after the launch.
