Let me work up some numbers I know 1 with no dual deploy will be $199.95 and the dual deploy option is $229.95 but let me see what a group run can get it down too Jack G From: roc-chat-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:roc-chat-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Ron Sent: Monday, January 20, 2014 8:26 PM To: roc-chat@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [roc-chat] Re: Rocstock is 20 years old this year! My son, George, and I are planning on flying Nike Smokes as part of the June ROCStock. He has a 2.6" FG version from Madcow already and wants a 5.5" version from Polecat if Jack is going to fire that production up. I'm building a 4" FG Madcow kit and may try to build others before June. We're excited for a June Nike Smoke ROCStock theme and are awaiting the rules by which an individual may garner the bragging rights that will be up for grabs. Again, just trying to get people flying rockets and having a good time. Also, ROC's 20th is cool. Maybe we can get Ron to jump out of a cake or something? Hum, Veni would be better... Or, Kramer could build a saucer cake? Anyway, the best way for a rocket club to celebrate an anniversary is to fly lots of rockets. A couple reasons why I've proposed Nike Smokes for June ROCstock: 1. Many people already have Nike Smokes of various sizes and probably it wouldn't take much to get them to fly one. So, Smoke 'em if you got 'em! 2. It's a cool rocket and most rocketeers easily recognize the Nike Smoke. 3. There are cool variations on the Nike Smoke. My favorite is the Nike Cajun; probably one of the best sounding rockets ever. Also, I heard there's a Nike-Nike, but I haven't seen a photo of one. 4. There are lots of Nike Smoke kits of various sizes. I don't think Jack has any of the 5.5's in stock and probably will not be building one Eddie Gortatowsky Nike Smoke. But if several people want them, then maybe they will go into production. 5. I would really like to see some Nike Smoke drag races and people trying to push the limit. Just to prove I'm not blowing smoke, I just bought a 5.5 Nike Smoke nose from Jack, and I'm going to build a Nike Smoke with a 98 mm to attempt my L3 at ROCstock. So, are we just going to talk about it forever? Richard _____ Date: Sun, 19 Jan 2014 16:47:27 -0800 From: indanapt@xxxxxxxxx Subject: [roc-chat] Re: Rocstock is 20 years old this year! To: roc-chat@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Now now. It was all in good fun! I was only pointing out our long standing tradition of flying V2s in a scale flight profile. Even tho unintended as that may be. I want someone to give me an excuse to buy a Pole 5.5 inch Nike-Smoke... But the pace I build at dicates it better be soon or June is not gonna happen for me. --------------------------------------- Jeff Gortatowsky, Redondo Beach, CA | Twitter: JeffGortatowsky | Yahoo: indanapt Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/jeffgortatowsky Blog @ http://skepticalastronomer.wordpress.com <http://skepticalastronomer.wordpress.com/> "(Scientific) Skepticism is not a set of beliefs, it is a set of methods for asking questions about reality." -- Doctor Steven Novella On Sunday, January 19, 2014 3:09 PM, R Dierking <applerocketry@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: Jeff: Ok, then what would you like to do? _____ Subject: [roc-chat] Re: Rocstock is 20 years old this year! We have some plans for events and themes to celebrate these anniversaries and keep rocket flying going strong.
