On Monday night, December 21, the Winter Solstice, Jupiter, Saturn and Earth
will line up on a conjuncton not seen since the 13th century. The two outer
planets will be millions of miles apart, as usual, but will line up together in
our view. They will be easy to see in the southwest sky, and should be quite
spectacular in binoculars or a small telescope.
