That’s OK Rick, I never rant of course, but I understand. ;-). The frustration
of how this is playing out is frustrating. For one thing, it is a bit
dangerous for him to be there pretty much alone and then there are more people
crossing the highway and getting on and off the highway even if he gets a
customer.
Hey, Eleanor Rigby by the Beatles was released in 1966. Let’s sing along… “All
the lonely vendors, where do they all belong…”

I honestly can't understand why Mike at BAR doesn't get his BLM permit. Every
single other vendor does it without any issues - even the vendors from out of
state who came to NSL!
If he can't be bothered, then he shouldn't expect any customers to bother doing
business with him at launches, either. Nobody in their right mind is going to
be going a mile away, on the other side of the highway, to buy from a vendor
trespassing on private property because he doesn't have a permit to sell on the
public land where we launch.
I like Mike as a person, but this is ridiculous. I refuse to buy from him at
launches until he "gets legal". I used to believe his stories about how he did
everything to get his seller's permits, but BLM just didn't process things in
time, etc. But NOBODY else has this problem, and he's claiming to have been
suffering at their hands for YEARS now.
At some point, you realize it's his own fault and quit sympathizing.
I really like Mike, but I'm not going to support his Kosdon or Irvine-level
refusal to get legal, and I'm not going to believe any more of his excuses.
Get your damn BLM permit, Mike!
Sorry for the rant,
Rick Dickinson

Back to BAR, I hope Mike breaks down and gets a BAR permit. It was sad to see
him parked across the 247 at NSL, basically missing about 90% of the business
that he could have had. Honestly, if he can't get a permit there's really no
reason for him to drive all the way down here when he can still go to TCC and
Aero-PAC.

Yeah Cris, lots of good music from that period. And, now too. I think it’s
not the music of course, it’s what’s going on in society and where you are in
life.
Funny we hijacked the Bay Area Rocketry subject thread with this. ;-)

How about five E’s?
So, think of songs from 1969…. Some good ones by the Beatles, but probably the
best ones were earlier. How about Touch Me by the Doors, released in 1969.
Light My Fire would be good, but that was 1967. OMG. I got to make a play
list.

I too am “special” in my own way. ;-)
We don’t need BAR anyway. We’re going to party like it’s 1969.

I believe that Discount Rocketry has commited to their local club in San Diego
for that day. It seems that just about every club around is holding their July
launch on the 20th.
