At least with HP I get new and better-than-canon nozzles with each cartridge, and colour lasers don't dry out. I am sure Canon and Epson have made improvements but it's good to see my age-old decision still seems well founded but unfortunate that some printer manufacturers still appear to believe in accelerating obsolescence and to my astonishment people still buy Epson and Canon. I was told by an engineer who claimed to be an expert in such things that frequent (at least daily) print jobs are necessary to keep ink- and bubble-jets alive and un-clogged, particularly in hot weather. I imagine that the recent heat-wave will have blocked a few printer nozzles for good. YMMV -- Tim Hill, <URL:http://www.timil.com/> ... "What wound did ever heal but by degrees ?"
