I noticed that on the pages where I used Gloss Optimiser they took an very long time to print and came out looking quite wet and the paper crinkled over the printed area, even in the white areas. I thought that was not good, that maybe the Optimiser was a waste of both time and money. I called the Epson tech help desk here in NZ and he had not heard of Optimiser resulting in damp pages, and he suggested it might be a driver issue (I said I was using a linux driver). I was to try the printer on a mac/win using their supplied driver. and see if the problem repeats. I've decided not to tick the Gloss Optimiser box.
