I've just received mail claiming to be from the 'WannaCry-Hack-team'

However it does mean that someone has accessed the address list of one
of the mail lists, perhaps this one. Just a heads up.

This list is hosted by freelists.org. If someone really had gained
access to their database, then they would probably have harvested a
*lot* of addresses and not just those of this single list, and in that
case many more users would have been affected. So, I doubt the spammers
had your address from this list.

In any case, your posting was a good test to verify that this list is
still working. I have not seen a posting for nearly two years!

:-) From replies elsewhere looks as if it wasn't this list.
