I have done a few test prints on my Epson DX9400F and cannot see any
banding at 720x360 and 1440dpi on plain and premium glossy photo
paper. On photo paper I got perfect photo quality. So, at least this
is not a general fault with GPDriver 2.32. Unfortunately, I do not
have access to an R360 and most of the print head nozzles of my R340
are blocked, so I cannot try this on a comparable printer.

It is well possible that there was a change in the underlying
Gutenprint library that is specific to your printer model. In fact,
the Gutenprint change log says that the low resolution modes of many
Epson printer models were changed to reduce banding.

So, in your case, if output was better in version 2.20, I recommend
reverting to that version (i.e., GPDriver 2.20 and GPSetup 2.10).
Obviously, that will not help Gary because his printer was only
introduced with version 2.30.

Unfortunately, there is very little I can do about problems that do
not show on the very limited range of printers I have here. If it is a
printer specific problem we can only hope that the Linux guys notice,
too, and that it is fixed in the next mainstream release.
