AT 301945Z APRIL 2009 A MAGNITUDE 6.3 EARTHQUAKE OCCURRED NEAR THE SOUTHERN END
OF THE NEW MADRID SEISMIC ZONE AFFECTING PORTIONS OF West TENNESSEE.
Tennessee has serious damage to the communications and transportation
infrastructure. The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency request MARS to
respond to assist with emergency communications. A logistical staging area,
LSA, is being set up at the TN Fire Service and Codes Training Academy in Bell
Buckle TN. TEMA requests MARS to report to this staging area. If this mission
is accepted, please provide the number of independent teams available with MARS
WL2K capability.
