RetroForth 7.6 has been uploaded to http://www.retroforth.org/release

There are several important changes, including some significant
changes to the Windows and Generic/DL library interfaces. These are
documented in CHANGES (included in the downloads). Some words are more
efficient, some buggy words are gone, and overall it's a bit more
stable and cleaner than 7.5 was. Thanks to Peter Appelman, the Linux
syscall interface has become much cleaner as well.

I've begun some preliminary work towards an 8.0 release (it's a lot
cleaner, but will likely be a major change from the 7.x releases).
Starting with 7.7, I'll begin bringing some of the major changes to
the 7.x release series. (Nothing I bring over will break downwards
compatibility with 7.6). 8.0 won't be fully downward compatible with
7.x though.

Anyway, I'll discuss more of what's coming over the next few days.

Charles
