The Strong in Rochester, New York, is pleased to announce that it will host
“Playful Learning in the Primary Classroom” on May 5, 2017. The all-day
conference explores the potential for play to support learning and development
for students in kindergarten through second grade.
“Playful Learning in the Primary Classrooms” features a presentation by Steven
Levy, nationally recognized author and Expeditionary Learning Education
consultant, and Debbie McCoy, The Strong’s assistant vice president for
education. The conference also includes interactive workshops,
thought-provoking panel discussions, and museum exploration. Together,
participants discover the role that play, movement, stories, and imagination
have in preparing students for success in school and in life.
