Kind colleagues,
If you could, I would appreciate it if you would share information about this
competition with HS teachers. If students or teachers need help with getting
access to a data analysis program, I can help them out. I am also willing to
meet with teachers who might be interested in encouraging their students to
participate.

Greetings from western Kenya!
There are four of us on this season’s trip to Kenya. Accompanying us are
Marty Cardona, Joining Hearts and Hands board member and her daughter Marcy
Mulconry. As the saying goes, “Every picture tells a story,” so I hope you
enjoy the photos contained in the link below. In this edition of our African
newsletter you will see the beautiful faces of the Masaai of Timau, their
living conditions and the splendid environment at over 10,000 feet above sea
level. Yesterday we had a ceremony in Malava, Kenya at Mang’uliro Primary
School to celebrate the completion of new Joining Hearts and Hands Latrines.
You will also see photos of the children we support at St. Mary Magdalene Oasis
of Peace Orphanage in Kisumu, Kenya. The last photo is a map of Kenya. You will
see red stars throughout posted throughout central and western Kenya. These are
the sites of a few of our projects and where we have traveled to date. Many,
many miles over some of the worst roads imaginable have been covered, but the
effort is well worth it. I hope you agree!
Enjoy!
