So, I know we joke about it never raining on tournament day and for the most
part we are lucky to experience beautiful sunny days, however for this Saturday
I believe we will be having to deal with a rainy weather.
It's unfortunate, but we have no other choice but to make it work as best we
can and I know that I can count on each of you to be considerate of others,
patient, kind, and understanding.
Nothing has changed regarding challenge sites or performance times. We still
plan to have closing ceremonies start at 5:00.
Some of the activities that were planned for outdoors will be moved inside.
Some of you have asked what you will do during the day if you can't place a pop
up tent on the grass? Well, my suggestion is for you to visit the challenge
sites and watch the teams perform.. that's why we're there.
The Multi Purpose Room located in the 6th grade building will be open from 7:00
- 11:45am for those who seek shelter. The Fine Arts Challenge will begin at
12:20pm.. Perfect timing to stay and watch!
The Structural Challenge, located in the 7th and 8th Gym will end their
performances at 12:20pm - We will have that area available for you to use after
the Appraisal team has vacated, That is where we will be having closing
ceremonies and our DJ will end up in there to kick off Closing Ceremonies.
Three of our games will move indoors to the Multi Purpose Room located in the
7th and 8th grade building after the Appraisal team for the Technical Challenge
has vacated. We are targeting somewhere between 12:00 - 1:00pm.
Food is going to be available and I will provide the menu options in a separate
email.
Plan to arrive in enough time to not rush with having to deal with your props,
etc. Have a plan in place that will help you maneuver with the weather
conditions.
For those who purchased T-shirts they will be available for pick up at DI
Central. There are some additional shirts available in Merchandise.
