If your wind-screen a combination with the foam on the inside and
the metal on the outside?
If the foam is starting to rot away on the inside, might be best to
peel it away, and then cleanse the metal with the listerine and
warm water, and then put a foam screen over the outside, which you
can clean now and again, or just change.
Nothing worse than a nasty mic 'grin'.
Well, there is, but I'll be polite 'grin'.
Now speaking of that rascal Tom Kingston, I got a private message
from him indicating he was happy the list got started, but I
haven't gotten a message from him yet to let me know he tried to get here.
Should I do it, just subscribe him?

It's a senhiser 835 E and it's a great mic for live work. I have
seen old mics with the fome almost rotted away, spit apparently is
very corosive
