Hi Kim, I have seen and heard the players and they are accessible but they won't do all that an iPod Touch will do. I use my iPod Touch to play games, identify money, detect light, GPS, stream Netflix, read Audible books, browse specials at the grocery store, perform price checks on Amazon just to mention a few. We also have the second generation Apple TV which allows us to use iTunes to send our entire music library wireless including play lists and much, much more. With this set up we can use a feature called Airplay which also let's use play anything we have on our iPod's through Apple TV which is part of our home surround sound system all done wireless. Listening to the iTunes FSCast is a great way to learn what all you can do. What you need is a really sophisticated Mp3 player--not an Ipod Touch. And those types of Mp3 players are out there. There is a company called Accessible Electronics that makes a really great Mp3 player with loads of memory and a built in radio. I know I can lern this and maybe if I give it some time I will. I just like going to the my computer folder and finding the external drive there. then I can just cut and paste to and from it. I like and need things to be simple sometimes. I will go listen to the f s pod cast about I tunes and see if my head don't expload. I'll let you know if I get this down or not.
