This question is loosely technologically-related, so thought I would pose it to the list. I think all the years of knitting, piano and dulcimer playing, Braille writer usage, and computing have finally caught up with me. When I move my ring finger on my right hand, my palm makes a clicking sound, my wrist pops and the ring finger tendon in my palm feels out of place. I have an appointment with a hand specialist in three weeks, but obviously my hope is to avoid surgery. My question: Have any of you on this list ever experienced this type of thing and, if so, how did you deal with it? And if any of you have had hand surgery, I would be curious as to how satisfied you were with the outcome? Are there good standard alternatives to surgery that have worked for those of you who have experienced this situation? SCARY STUFF!!!! GRRRR . . .
