Hi, Steve,

That's neat you have a phone that works well for you. I agree that you don't
have to have the latest and the greatest stuff. I have a Samsung phone that
works well for me and that's all that matters to me.

Bills and other expenses come first before new technology. I'm not knocking
people who have the latest and greatest technology. If they can afford it,
that's fine. I just feel that I don't have to have new upgrades all the
time. I'm on a fixed income and have to budget myself each month.

Rosemarie

Cheer!, a blind person thinking straight. I could either have an
IPHONE, all the apps, the data plan, the two year contract and hidden
charges or I can have the yummy protein double shot espresso mocha or
vanilla latte that I start every day with, the yummy sugar free syrups I
mix in, the yummy protein bars and the things I need to live a healthy
lifestyle.

Its all a matter of wants versus needs and I prefer to go the healthy
route rather than have the latest thing all of the other blind people have.
I've lost 126 pounds this year, no longer diabetic, not on any
prescription medicines and have about 30 pounds to go until I'm in my
target weight range for my age and height.

I have an "outdated" phone I bought on eBay that I use on Mobile, where
we have a wonderful month to month plan. I can do everything on my phone
that I want, which includes making and receiving phone calls and sending
/ receiving text messages. Its totally accessible thanks to Mobile
Speak, I've got two extra batteries that I can change, I can copy files
to and from the phone by simply connecting it to a US B port, and most
of all, it works.

Hey, if you can afford one of the latest phones out there and do
everything you want with the device, that's great. If not, maybe its
time to make a new budget.

Steve
