Bonnie wrote this particular announcement, and I'm just sending it along.
tonight's Books and Beyond has a great deal of personal meaning for me. I
will have as my guest, Jordan Rich. For those of you who do not know his
name, let me say that Jordan has had a tremendous impact on my life. For
the past six years, I have been accorded the great honor of co-hosting
Jordan's book show on WBZ in Boston. Jordan Rich is the person responsible
for giving me my first opportunity to talk with people about my passion,
books, with the people who love them, his listeners. I had no idea back
then that someday I would be doing Books And Beyond but have much to thank
Jordan for in experience I gained from doing his show with him for the past
six years.
For those of you not familiar with Jordan Rich, he has been working in radio
for 30 years; In addition, he runs a business called Chart Productions with
his best friend in which he teaches people how to do voice overs and
commercials. Active in local charities, Jordan writes a weekly blog for
WBZ's website. He is my mentor and hero, funny, intelligent, a man who loves
and cherishes friends and family. Please come join me tonight to hear an
interview with a man who has had a profound effect on my life and is someone
I and proud to know and call my friend.
