1 Hit Alt T and arrow down to Message rules. arrow to the right and hit enter on mail. 2 Tab the the "new" button and hit enter 3 In the box asking you to select conditions for the rule, hit space on the option that says Where the from line contains people. 4 Tab to the next field, which will say Select the actions for your rule. 5 Hit space on the line that says "move it to the specified folder. 6 Tab to the third field which will say Click on an underlined value to edit it. 7 Arrow down to the line that says "contains people." and hit enter. 8 tab to the address book button and hit enter on it. 9 Tab until you hear the top contact in your address book. You should be hitting tab twice. Hit shift and end together in order to select the entire list. 10 Tab to the "From" button and press enter. 11 Tab twice to the OK button and press enter. 12 Tab to options and check the radio button that says "message does not contain people" then click OK. 13 Tab to OK and press enter. 14 Press your down arrow until you are the next line that says specified folder and hit enter. 15 Make sure your cursor is on "local folders' and tab to New folder. Then hit enter. 16 You can name the new folder anything you want, spam, junk, trash, etc. When finished, tab to ok. 17 When you are back out to the list of folders, tab to ok again and press enter. 18 Tab to the box that says name of the rule and name it something like junk rule or spam rule. tab to OK and press enter. 19 Shift tab up to the New Rule button and press enter. 20 In the first box, hit space on the bottom item that says for all messages. 21 Tab to the next box and hit space on "stop processing rules. It should be third from the bottom or so. 22 Tab twice and name the rule "Stop processing rules and Tab to OK. 23 Shift tab to the list of rules and highlight the junk rule that you created earlier. 24 Tab to the move up button and hit it until you hear "Move down." 25 Shift tab to apply now and follow the steps to apply all rules to the Inbox. *****IMPORTANT Do check your junk folder often, as people who are not in your address book will automatically get sent to the junk folder. As you add new addresses to your address book, you will have to update the rule using the following steps. Go into the tools menu and select message rules, right arrow and hit enter on mail. Focus should land on your junk rule as it is in the top of your list of message rules. If not, make sure that it is highlighted and then tab to the modify button. Tab twice and hit enter on the line that starts reading off your entire address book. tab to the add button and follow steps 8 through11 above. Then tab to OK and hit enter. Tabh to OK in the main message rules window and hit ok. I do this every couple of weeks or if I get repeated messages from someone who is new in my address book into my junk folder and get irritated with it.
