Hi Mitchell the radio is called the Narator. Here is how you set the clock. I just got mine Friday. 1. With the radio turned off press and hold the display button the radio will announce display clock set. 2. Press the tune up or down buttons to set the hour. Press the select up or down buttons to set the minutes. Press display and the radio will say the time and saved. Hope this helps. Joe -----Original Message----- From: Mitchell D. Moot point since I already bought it. It was a fortuitous discovery while poking around on Best Buy's web site. If I had waited a couple of weeks, I would have heard the commercial for it on the radio. I will check the review out just in case there is a way around the no speech thing for setting the clock. -----Original Message----- From: real-eyes-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:real-eyes-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of kitty@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Saturday, August 11, 2012 8:49 PM To: real-eyes@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [real-eyes] Re: Insignia Navigator HD Radio Deborah kendric did a product review in a recent issue of access world. I found this on the web at Best Buy a couple weeks back. Their description says it will pick up audio reader services. I didn't find reference one to that in their manual unless it could possibly go by some other name. Ironically, I started hearing commercials on 980 AM right after I bought this. They are advertising it as an accessible device. Some of it is accessible, and some features (setting the clock for example) are not accessible with voice-over. Nice touch is that the manual is included on audio CD. I should point out that you can't access clock features at all if the voice-over is turned on. They aren't real clear in the manual about that. They keep referring to clock mode, and you are left to your own powers of deduction to work out that "clock mode" is with the voice-over turned off, and the unit powered down.
