Yeah well, I still don't understand alot about the stream and listening to
the manual didn't really help because I still don't understand alot of it.

And this is a great time to remind all of us on the list that there are no
stupid questions, not as far as this list is concerned. We all need help at
times, and that is what we are here for.

To answer both of your questions in one message:

1) Can the stream read e-books that are .TXT files?

Yes, as long as they are truly .TXT files, and not some odd flavor.

2) Can the Stream read .DOC files?

Only if you purchase the add-on pack. It will allow the Stream to read Word
documents. I believe the Stream Companion will automatically convert Word
documents into a different format when it transfers files to the Stream, but
that is a different story.

The Stream will read HTML or RTF files, so I would recommend saving your
Word documents as either RTF or Web Page Filtered and transfer those to the
Stream.

Also, can the stream read .doc files from Microsoft word?

Hi Duyahn, text files play just fine on the stream.
Are you talking about some of the public domain books that are available
from various sources?
I'm asking because many Ebooks are PDF files, but text files should play
just fine, and I've always had the best luck placing them right in the
.TEXT folder.
