I hear you about the snugness of the walls, and………no idea…….Bob is supposed to
take possession of store on the 16th…..maybe he can shed some light on whether
he’ll have the key by then and we can coordinate with him…..Thursday, I know it
will be open.
I’m going to do my best to go up and down to Philly in one day……and get back
Weds night…….but I’m not going to push it if I’m tired.
I’m sorry that me going to Philly screws things up, but I planned this day/date
two months ago.
If we have to do it Thursday afternoon, so be it.
Rick…..I believe the screws we used are ALL on our side (we did have to take
the doors down once and put them back up when we painted them, and I put the
screws back in where the holes were on our side)…..but the doors are snug and a
rubber mallet may help their removal. Mine should be in my toolbox behind the
counter.

Peter C.,
Will we be able to get into the other storefront if we need to?
I remember those walls went in tight.
I believe the plywood was installed after the frames were installed.
And I think there is carpeting that might stop them from coming out.
We might have to remove the plywood from the frames first.
And those screws were installed from the other storefront side.

9:00 sounds good. Is that good for you Peter M?
John, I know very little about MTH programming, but we can try.

HERE WE GO until mid January……….I don't look at this as work…..I look at it
as pure fun and the culmination of another great year!

Tuesday…….I’ll new arriving at the store about 10 AM to do some general
clean up and start removing the temporary scenery from the station module.
Engine testing can be done at this time (I think that I have some traction
tires to change on an engine).
At 1PM, Wally, Ben and Bob arrive to construct Ben’s new circus display. At
that time, there will be no train running on the 21x43.

The WALLS……..I emailed Mark…..he said the walls cannot come down until Weds.
That makes it tough. I am scheduled to be out of town Weds and back either
late Weds night or midday on Thursday. I’ll leave the keys here and if
anyone wants to lead a team to remove the walls before I get back, I am wide
open.
To remove the walls, I recommend 3-4 people with two power drills and
various drill bits……different screws where used on each wall.
Check you emails Thursday AM…….if I’m back, there will be an email…..
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Thursday is VTC set up………..Bob will be sending an email looking for
volunteers to help set up……….I’m hoping to be part of it
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Friday is open for “rehearsing your engines” . I’m pretty much free after
10AM…….VTC Vendor set up is that afternoon.
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
I’ll put out the final VTC Show running schedule on Tues or Weds…….remember,
as a worker you get a wristband giving you free admission to the buy/sell
show

Tear down is time sensitive. My goal is 2 hours or less. There’s new members
and everyone needs to know the order that the layout comes apart.
Immediately when the trains are turned off, help whoever was running last.
The layout comes apart in the following order:
1 Skirts Ken coordinate
2 Plexiglass. Rick coordinate
3 Track connectors Walt coordinate
4 Power cart and electrical
4 Get transport boxes and totes
5 Unplug harnesses
6 Remove clamps
After these items are done, then you start putting your items away.
Club items first, personal items second. Any questions?
Tom and I have spoke this weekend…..the 2 hour deadline may be a little
close…….to make it more realistic, we’ve added a little twist:
Since we are on our home turf and the show will be slowing down, at
2PM….those of use who take a long time to take off and pack the tops of the
modules can start…..TRAINS WILL CONTINUE TO RUN TILL 3……..and at 3, WE ALL
STOP WHATEVER WE ARE DOING AND WHEREVER WE ARE IN OUR PACKING………and then
start with number 1 as detailed by Tom above. Once 1 through 6 are done,
then we can go back to personal stuff…...If you have any questions, or need
clarification, ask me before Sunday.
This also gets the trailer packed earlier and those of us who are able, can
then go next door and help take down the tables on the selling floor.
Once that is done, we will need to police the areas and get rid of the trash
that no doubt will accumulate.

Start thinking about the SMV…….set up starts Monday AM at 9AM on the 21st of
November.
Tom should be sending all of us a request for shifts any second…….so, start
thinking about your the shifts you want.

I think that I have covered everything….whooo…..there’s lots going on!
