First of all, I want to recognize all our veterans for their courage, service
and sacrifice
Our next meeting is Saturday the 13th at 0900 at the Storefront.
I will open up about 0830.
From 1100-1500 we have an Open House……..I’m looking forward to seeing everyone.
I will be bringing Christmas trains……it’s that time again!
I will have the Agenda out tomorrow PM as well as the latest draft of the
Conventions (SIG ByLaws) for your review for Saturday.

My trip to NYC was fantastic……Amtrak service was great and on time for each
segment.
My daughter finished the NYC Marathon is less than 5 hrs.
The route took her through all 5 boroughs. I accompanied her on the number 1
train down to South Ferry where she boarded the Staten Island Ferry…..there,
she boarded a bus which took her to Fort Wadsworth (the casemate fort on the SI
side of the Narrows). She was in the group that used the upper deck of the
bridge into Brooklyn where she ran up to downtown Brooklyn and into Queens and
on to the 59th St bridge.. Since all runners could be followed online with the
NYC Marathon app, I was able to get ahead of her and caught her at 61st St and
1st Ave with my son…….then took the number 4 train to the Bronx to catch her at
138th St and the Grand Concourse…..then back down into Manhattan on the 4 to
get to the N train to catch her on Central Park South as she headed for the
Finish Line. My wife and other daughter and her husband watched her cross the
Finish Line, while my son and I took the number 1 train to see her coming out
of Central Park……it was a blast!
