Way back at the last meeting, the board approved getting some steam locos for the club. I saw a good sale on Lionchief engines so I went ahead and got one. I wanted to get something that was colorful and would appeal more to kids. I thought this B&O Pacific would fit the bill.
Lionel upped their game with the newer Lionchief engines and this one runs beautifully. Has smoke, lit marker lights, and works with the Universal Remote, Lionchief app, and the Cab1L or Cab2 remotes (I set this for TMCC Engine # 15). It did not come with a dedicated remote. Apparently Lionel now does not include a remote with the higher end Lionchief 2.0 Plus engines.
We have the Lionchief Chessie Mikado so with this one I feel we only need one more club steamer. I'm thinking a Lionchief Berkshire but they are supposed to ship before the end of the year. What do you guys think?
