I have been a subscriber of CTT since it’s inception in 1987.
In 2014-15 they offered a DVD of 1987 through 2014.
It cost $100.
I switched to getting my CTT digital about that time and it is on Zinio keeps
issues since 2012 online for access with the regular subscription.
It allowed me to cut down on magazine storage. It allowed me to look up old
articles.
Now, operating systems on new computers are 64 bit……the DVD is set up for 32
bits. It will not run…….
Kalmbach knows this and has decided to drop its support of the DVD…..and will
not update it.
They want everyone to join Trains.com.
I have been back and forth with them…..it is a corporate issue and not a CTT
issue…..
So to get access to the magazines, I have to pay for access to
MR
CTT
Garden Railways
Trains
Classic Trains
I have to pay for access to videos on DCC installation, making Fall leaves out
of Fall leaves, etc…..
They have a 30 days free trial and make no note of what it costs after the
trial……no info on what happens to my digital CTT subscription. No info on it
being refunded or prorated……...
Does anyone have a Trains.com <http://trains.com/> subscription?
