That’s 11 votes. We have 23 members so would need 2 more votes to carry the
motion. In addition, we have had two suggestions (John Crockett and Kevin
Sutton) that we purchase 2 club sets instead of one. I would need new votes
from the original people as well to approve 2 sets (I’m assuming John and
Kevin are in favor, I would be as well).
For both individual orders information, as well as the group regarding the
club purchase, the seller has gotten back to me (Russell is not interested
in dealing with these at this time). We get a 20% discount on the INDIVIDUAL
box price for the bulk order (A club set works out to be $96 instead of
$110). In addition, shipping comes down to an average of $10-11 per box
instead of $14 per box. With 2 communal club sets, the cost should be
approximately $267.30 for the club, or $133.65 if we keep it to one set.
I will be paying with a check to avoid an additional fee for using Paypal or
credit card. We could also knock another $10-$20 off the total order if
anybody has a verified business address to ship to that I could retrieve
them from, if not I’ll have them sent to my house.
One additional thought, if the club is OK with covering the cost it I will
purchase large address labels (I’ll cover the ink) to pre-label everybody’s
boxes before I distribute them, as we’ll have so many of these lying around
it would be good to know whose is whose. I can use just your name, or the
club logo with your name, or whatever logo you would like. I’ll label each
box top and main box. This shouldn’t be more than $10 out of the club
coffers, in addition to the $5-$10 we already approved to manufacture
membership cards.
Sorry for the long-winded email, but I’d like to get the ball rolling on
these so I can get a final price quote and get them ordered.
