The plan is to setup two trains; hopefully one freight, one passenger. The cars
will be left in tubs under the layout. Members are encouraged to bring their
engines and perhaps a caboose. Lugging a box of stuff in from the parking lot
is not fun at all.

Subject: [rc3r] Re: Fair
As one approaches the fair grounds on Courthouse Rd, Krause Rd is the
first right at the beginning of the fair grounds complex. Taking a right turn
on Krause Rd, there is an entrance gate on the left about 50 yards from the
Krause Rd/Courthouse Rd intersection, manned by a fair person, with several
cars parked inside the gate. I presume the cars belong to fair related
personnel. When I worked the fair in the past, the lady manning the gate
allowed me to drop off my carton containing my trains. I parked elsewhere,
returned to the drop off point ( using my ticket to gain entrance to the fair
grounds ) and proceeded to the building where our set up was located. I
reversed this procedure when my shift ended. One might return to the gate
to pick up your train carton via Krause Rd, without entering via the ticket
booth. Ad-mittedly, this is a surreptitious procedure, but you can try it if
you don't have a ticket and feel strongly enough about the issue. It may or may
not work.

{}#yiv0718419146 It’s their venue and their rules. These are their rules. We
need to abide by them or we won’t be invited back. It’s a great opportunity
for the club to make money… they’re paying us $750 plus raffle sales (which
does make us a vendor). I doubt we will get a 3rd chance if the relationship
breaks down again. From: rc3r-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx

shift, 12 shifts. I haven't made a big deal about this, but I recently read the
Fair vendor rules. The last time we were there, we were asking/demanding many
more tickets per shift. It is was a violation of the Fair rules. The fact that
we were not invited back was almost 100% on us. Gilly -----Original
