I have to agree with peter and ken. All along my feelings have been to be
cautious rather than not. I just don’t see how we can realistically comply with
these rules. I can see us spending more time policing than enjoying and sharing
our love of our hobby. Can you see us telling a family to move along as their
little guy marvels at the trains.

I am afraid I have to agree with Peter on this. The lines will tend to put
people too close together, almost no matter how clever we are about this.
This virus is very contagious. This virus depends on people to make errors in
social distancing and mask utilization in order to spread.

Subject: [EXTERNAL] [rc3r] Re: Phase 3 Executive Order 67
I think we are limited to work parties and just the club members using the
layouts for running and gathering of the group…..……..
I do not think we can effectively follow these guidelines without having at
least 2-3 extra non-train-runners playing policeman. I’m not sure we want to
be policemen.
There is no way we can have a flow that doesn’t double back on itself and
that negates the distancing…..we could only allow groups of 3 or 4 or a
family at one time…..but then you have the potential of bigger lines outside
to deal with.
We are the performers……how do you maintain 10 ft between us and handle
derailments, etc?
Outdoor queue lines should follow physical distancing guidelines, allowing
for six feet of
separation between persons who are not members of the same household.
Create a guest flow plan of modified queue lines to and within the facility.
Determine areas
likely to become bottlenecks or pinch points and adjust guest flow
accordingly.
Install visible markers for queue lines that separate people by six feet of
physical distance.
Ten feet of physical distance must be maintained between all performers,
participants, and
patrons who are not members of the same household.
Bob and Ken are probably still at work……..I’d like to see their reading on
this too….

Gentlemen,
Governor Northam has issued Executive Order #67. We constitute "Entertainment
and Public Amusement". The RF&P Board will be meeting tomorrow @ 3:00 PM to
discuss SIGs resuming public display. Assuming the RF&P Board approves
reopening, the RC3R Board will be meeting on Thursday morning. We will be
reviewing the Phase 3 requirements to:
Do a gap analysis of what we have already done, and what we have left to do
Schedule a work session to prepare the Storefront and layouts for display
Solicit members for participating in operating sessions Since we are so
limited in venues for 2020, I would like to suggest we plan to display 2
weekends/month at the Storefront.
Please take a moment to read through one of the attached files (provided in
two formats). If you have questions, comments, or concerns, please let us
know ASAP so they can be addressed at either or both Board meetings.
