Tomorrow night I plan to reconfigure the DCS for Variable Outputs. We should
be able to run the old stuff using the DCS remotes.
Last Sunday, we only saw one Cab1L remotes. Did someone put the other up? I
didn't see it in the large box.

After sleeping on it & talking to tom, the yard will be a sufficient staging

Good morning! A few comments/questions on this topic:
· Are the raffle tickets to be used similar to the tickets used in a
grocery's deli? "Now serving number 41"? Would GBGH like having numbers
called throughout the building?
· A sign-up sheet might work a little better, as people sign up for 15
or 20 minute increments (test time included).
· I agree with John Crockett that if we don't have the staffing
(minimum of 5 members), the small layout should not be used.
· Someone (I can't remember who) had the idea to reserve the outside
main of the big layout for running classic trains. We help the person put
the train on the track at ONE designated point on the layout; test the train
(5 minute time limit); if train works, use the remaining time allotment to
run the train. If train doesn't, we move on to the holder of the next time
slot.
Just my thoughts. Have a great day, keep the rails polished and highball!

Sign up sheet is a great idea.
I also think the small layout to be used for "testing" before running on the
large layout, would save us much time & frustration.
After a successful test, then sign up to run, maybe 15 mins if others are
waiting?
Other opinions?

Given any thought to a sign-up sheet? May not need one, but if you get a lot
of folks wanting to run their trains, it might be useful. Set run time
according to demand volume.

Guys,
The last full weekend is fast approaching to run trains at the GBGH. Peter,
Jerry, Ben, Ken and Bob Hannan probably will not be with us this weekend.
Who knows how many people will bring trains to run on the big layout.
Even if you are not on the schedule, please come help out as you are able.
Thanks,
Bill
