Uhhhh....that was 1 / 160th. Not nearly as slow as ya thought.

r

Thanks for the info, Lar;

HOLYCOW! 1/60 sec....I presume the VR was lit up and working marvelously! Either that orrrr...being young and immortal (relatively) he didn't have to contend with the wibbles and wobbles that age brings. Sheesh! Whippersnapper! hee hee!

On that same note, I saw some digiscoping equipment at the Bird Festival last Saturday Wow! Mucho magnification! Some guys do fantastic work with them.

Of course, I can buy an adaptor for my D 50 for not a lot of $, but, then I'd need to buy a GOOD $potting $cope to go with it.

I have had a letch for the big Leica scope ever since I saw one outside of a ~$500,000 motor home at Yellowstone...and me with my little 8X Bushnell binocs! Calif. plates, Patagonia clothing...tea drinking, fern fondling advocates of conspicuous consumption! AArrrghhh...jealousy is such an ugly emotion!

I got even, tho...I went around the other side, and kicked a tire. Showed them, I did!

Ennyhoo, now that I'm finished with that, For bird and other photography, I am saving for the Nikon 70-300 VR like you have, which will give me about a 450 mm equivalent...not really enough, but better than my old Iron Duke. Are there any problems with panning shots I need ot be aware of ?? VR on or off for that?

Thanx; Carl

Carl and Dr. Zamboni,
The meta data says Zamboni shot it at 1/160th of a second.

    I asked Paul to borrow his Sigma 170-500 lens last weekend and
    here is a sample. This is one of the Tatum Racing GT3 Porsches.

    Let me know what you think.
