PS Maybe a very small contribution: I have this code snippet in
/etc/httpd/httpd.conf on my Apache web server:

This silently redirects people still using the URL http://slint.fr
to https://slint.fr

I am in the process of doing some work on the site at raspberryvi.org.
This includes updating a very old installation of the Nikola static
sites system on two of my Linux machines to the latest.
This is going to involve some big changes to existing configuration
files at my end, and probably some tweaks to all or some blog posts
and/or stories, as Nikola calls them.
When I have changed the config files, there may also be some tweaks to
do to change the theme which was used before, since the difference
between the Nikola version I was using, and the latest, also involves
some changes to themes.
This is a long way of saying I might well break some stuff on the site.
So some pages, and some links might not work for a while.
I am hoping that when I have done this upgrade of Nikola, I will be
encouraged to do a lot more blog posts and howtos, as well as posting up
some scripts to download.
Let's see where this goes.
I will post again when I have done the first live upload and have at
least some idea that the entire site is not broken.
Also, when I have a complete site working with the new version of
Nikola, I will try to secure the site and the URL will then be https
rather than just old http. So up-to-date browsers don't complain about
it being an insecure site.
