Hi,
If it's like the Pi3, you're dealing with a TRRS (Tip, Ring, Ring & Sleeve)
jack... You'll need a W wire... That is, one 3mm jack at one end & 3 RCA
(phono type) jacks: audio left, audio right & composite video at the other end.
Other than the fact that you'll have 3 wires merging into the 3mm jack, you'll
be able to feel it when running your fingernail along the pin. Other than the
tip, a mono jack (TS) has no slot, a stereo jack (TRS) has one slot & those
weird TRRS jacks have 2slots.
Remember, this description is only valid if the jack is similar to the Pi3 I
had... By all means, if someone needs to contradict this, be my guest. It is
not my intention to provide "fake information😊
Cheers,
Jean-Claude Provost

Subject: [raspberry-vi] Does PI 4 have a 3.5 audio jack
Hello list
I looked at the specs but some terms they use are not familiar to me, so how
does one get sound from the PI 4?
Regards
Fanus
