You do not need permissions from the authors to quote from their
publications in the public scientific literature.
Please follow the traditional styles for quotes :

For example:
I refer to: First Author et al. , year of the publication, journal name,
date, or other digital object identifiers , "....between quotation marks,
the quoted text..."
et al. means "and other collaborating authors".
Never plagiarize:
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/plagiarize
"...take (the work or an idea of someone else) and pass it off as one's
own..."
In the case of a picture in the internet, you might write below the picture:
Source: internet link to the source page, name or number of the picture
within that page.
This is a very important subject.
