As soon as the suggestion was made I bought the awakening. It just arrived and
I would be happy to share my copy if we decide to read it. It is only 75 pages
and double spaced - so if we were good at passing it along I think we could all
read the same copy in a month.

I am fine with either book!
Altho I must say that the Erotic stories for Punjabi Widows does sound quite
spicy and warming for chilly days like these!

Hello again everyone!
I checked with our collections department about ordering the Tala Tootoosis
book and unfortunately because it is self-published, it will be
difficult/impossible for us to source through our vendors. So it is unlikely
that we will be able to add it to the library collection.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news! I have heard good things about both
Three Women and Erotic Stories for Punjabi Widows.

Hello all,
New to the group and looking forward to meeting everyone. Yes to January
and I'll second the Erotic Stories for Punjabi Widows:

if the Tootoosis title is deferred. I would love to read either one.

Good morning radical feminists!
I'm imagining that December is a busy month for most of us - do we want to
wait until January for our next meetup?
I also have a reading suggestion...
'The Awakening of the Kokum Spirit in a Young Woman' by Tala Tootoosis
It's a tricky one, in that I can't find copies of it available at the
library - but it's available on Amazon, and I'm happy to buy a copy and
pass it around.
Here is some media coverage on the book:
