Dave, I like to also re-enforce your comment, I have found racktables to be very useful at the two places where I have used it. There are many, many things that we would like to see added to the product, but I understand that with the amount of development resources the development team has, it is worth the wait for new features. The one feature that I would like to see is one that shows both front and back of the rack, right now I have defined 2 racks XXXX-F and XXXX-B, and it is getting pretty big. But again thanks to the developers for their time and effort. GRACIAS... After 5 IT Managers before me, and no documentation. RackTables helped me sort it all out. I found 25 machines that NO ONE knew what there purpose was for other then to eat electricity. Those machines were re-purposed for reinstalls of aging machines, that combined with vmware I was able to get the environment down to 45 machines. Saving the company money on electricity, and having extra hardware incase of failures, with backup machines pre-imaged. It's was nice having a visual repensentation of the datacenter. 1 thing I would like to see, and that is the ability to export everything into a visio compataible XML file. So it can be opened in Visio and modified as needed. Really helps to get a broader view of the entire network. http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/visio-help/about-xml-for-visio-HP085052699.aspx -----Original Message----- From: "Dave Augustus" <davea@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, March 4, 2011 1:08pm To: racktables-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [racktables-users] Developers!!!!
